After more than 70 years, Pvt. Felix Yanez was finally laid to rest on Sept. 3. At 17 years old, Yanez enlisted in the U.S. military and in 1949 began serving in the Korean War. On July 16, 1950, Yanez was mortally wounded in combat. His remains were recovered eight months later in 1951 but not yet identified until July 13, 2022. Yanez's remains were finally laid to rest on Sept. 3 at South Lawn Cemetery in Tucson.
